Clear cables and small loose items, then choose the area you want cleaned. Check that your floor finish permits wet mopping and use the recommended cleaning solution as directed.

A lower profile, with conditions

With the LDS retracted, the robot is 7.98 cm high; with it raised, 9.35 cm. Leave real clearance beyond the bare measurement and consider uneven floors or sloping furniture undersides before expecting access.

Thresholds need a precise description

Roborock's test covers a single layer up to 3 cm, or a double layer made from 3 cm plus a 1 cm upper track. The familiar 4 cm headline does not describe every vertical step; real geometry and conditions matter.

Hair care still involves you

The anti-tangle brush design is aimed at reducing wrapped hair. In a home with pets, inspect the brushes and filter regularly and remove what remains. Suction figures and anti-tangle claims do not replace looking at the actual floor.

Automation leaves a smaller care list

Refill clean water and empty dirty water on the tank version. Maintain brushes, filter, dust bag, wash area, sensors and charging contacts according to the manual, using the specified method for each part. Plan space to remove tanks and reach the dock; automatic emptying and mop washing do not make the system maintenance-free.

Map your home before choosing your robot

Walk the route from the dock to the kitchen, under the sofa and around the dining chairs. Measure the narrowest clearance and look at the shape of each threshold. Saros 10 can lower its laser navigation unit to reduce its height, and its lifting chassis is designed to help cross certain obstacles. Those capabilities are reasons to inspect your layout carefully, rather than assume every piece of furniture or doorway will work.

Choose the dock as carefully as the robot

The standard dock needs access to its water tanks. The refill-and-drainage version is a separate installation decision, subject to local availability and site checks. Confirm 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, local warranty and the dock's mains rating; the FCC reference dock is 120 V, 60 Hz. The regional Amazon entry lets you inspect the actual model and seller without promising stock.

Will it climb every 4 cm doorway?

No. The manufacturer's 4 cm test is a particular double-layer threshold of 3 cm plus 1 cm. A single-layer threshold is rated up to 3 cm, and results depend on conditions.

Does pet-hair handling mean no cleaning by hand?

No. Brushes, filters, tanks and dock still need inspection and maintenance. Prepare the floor and check your home rather than treating recognition or anti-tangle features as guarantees.
